All MESD staff members have access to an extensive website called the MESD Ed Tech Professional Learning Hub. From the hub, staff can access a wide range of tutorials, recorded training sessions, and a whole host of other education technology resources and professional learning opportunities to enrich their instructional practice.
Learniverse is an online, self-directed professional learning "game" designed for our teachers at all skill levels. Each activity takes a short time to complete and is self-paced and choice-driven. As MESD educators complete learning activities and missions within the game, they earn valuable points that can be exchanged for cool new technologies in their classrooms.
In the fall of 2018, the Moriarty-Edgewood School District hosted Ed Tech U, a two-day conference for MESD staff as well as other educators from across the state. The focus of the conference was leveraging the use of Chromebooks, G Suite for Education, and other innovative technologies to support the transformation of student learning outcomes. The conference was a huge success! We hosted our second conference, the MESD Grow Summit, virtually in the summer of 2021. The Grow Summit featured an international panel of speakers and presenters, and educators from around the globe attended this amazing event!
